Mosquito Control In Granbury And The North Texas Region
Mosquito Removal Services
Mosquitoes in Texas are infamous for being annoying. They buzz around backyard barbecues biting everything in sight. They leave itchy welts that last for days and drive everyone they bother crazy. But did you know mosquitoes can do a whole lot more than just ruin your outdoor get-together?
These disease-spreading vermin are actually the world’s deadliest insects because of the sheer number of fatal diseases they spread. They kill between half a million to a million people a year – sometimes here in the United States. That’s why you need to take mosquito control seriously. These parasites can be a deadly serious problem.
Our Mosquito Control Process
A lot of mosquito control depends on making your property less attractive to these buzzing pests. You can take some measures to achieve this goal on your own. Here are some effective ways to deter mosquitoes:
- Eliminate standing water to get rid of mosquito breeding spots. Common stagnant water sources include kiddie pools, birdbaths, and pet bowls.
- If you cannot eliminate water sources, change them every other day to kill mosquito eggs and larvae.
- Trim back branches and shrubs to reduce mosquito hiding spots and encourage evaporation.
- Plant herbs and flowers mosquitoes can’t stand, such as citronella, lavender, peppermint, and rosemary.
Of course, there are lots of mosquito-attracting factors that are out of your control. For instance, your property might back onto a patch of trees that offer deep shade. Your home could be close to a body of water like a lake or pond. You might even have plants that mosquitoes love planted near your house. That’s where Wise/Chem Safe Pest Control’s mosquito control process comes in.
Our mosquito control process is a seasonal specialty service that runs throughout the North Texas mosquito season (April to September). Every month, we’ll come out to your house to apply mosquito repelling products to vegetation, grass, bushes, and wherever mosquitoes hide.
